Pen Palling

I know, the old fashioned Snail-Mail is on the point of disappearing. This way of communicating is rather slow (my letter needed once a whole month to reach Sri Lanka! It seems that the postman went all the way), it's often unreliable (my Italian pal mentioned to me years ago that one of their local postmen went mad on a warm and sunny day in August and simply threw the whole letter-bag into the river! It was found by pure chance some time later by somebody) and also quite costly seeing the price of postage rise year upon year. I'm not one of those people happy with all the modern media methods of communication (E-Mail/SMS/Twitter....) but of course I can't/ don't want to ignore all the advantages it offers and I use it everyday for sending short messages/ official letters. But...I am also a nostalgic soul. I love to open my letter box and discover inside some private correspondence between all the bills and junk mail. I love to admire the creative envelopes my pals sometimes use, nice postage stamps stuck on, small “goodies” added inside...I hope very much that I'll still be able to enjoy this wonderful hobby for a long while. For those who feel the same (and who visit my blog, obviously. Smile.) I have designed with the stamping technique tree envelopes which you can print and use for your own correspondence, if you wish. You are welcome.
