The Buddha exhibition is immense! On a space covering 43,000 square feet (including a roof garden) the visitors can admire pictures, sculptures and other artifacts all connected to Buddhism. Besides the three main types of Buddhism, Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana, many other smaller traditions of teaching and philosophy are also represented there. Very nice made and interesting.
This year the summer was not often inviting for outdoor activities but the few sunny and warm days we got, we used the best way we could. On one week-end with some of our friends we went to the wine region of Moselle Valley, to a small town Traben-Trarbach to see a very large Buddha exhibition.
Traben -Trarbach is really a lovely double city on the left and right banks of the Moselle, with old houses of the Jugendstil and “Belle Epoque” styles, romantic small cafes, restaurants, wine- caves....all lovely bordered by grape vines. Really very pleasant place.
