Flower Minicarpet
It's been a bit quiet here of late. No, life... hasn't been busy and I can't believe that so many weeks have passed by since I last posted something on my blog! It’s just that it has been so hot this summer. For a while I've been very low in physical energy, which has made me want to stay the whole day long under the little bit of refreshing shadow my young willow tree could offer me and to twiddle my thumbs. But then...wow, after this inactive phase hundreds of exciting ideas have burst from my creative spirit and I've got so much to share with you. I'm happy to be back and I hope to meet you here.
I must confess: I get hooked on crochet .First there was a single ball of wool and an old hook, both found accidentally in the deepness of a cupboard. Then a small sack of colorful leftovers, a friendly donation from my friend Steffi. Then a bigger one since she is trying to get a little bit of order from her mother's belongings. Several interesting online shops have also been discovered and a few Craft Fairs have been visited...In the meantime I've collected such a large stock of wool that it will keep me occupied for years to come! I still didn't decide if I am happy about it or not. Smile.
Today I want to show you my most recent project: Flower Meadow Minicarpet. I've loved the work on it because it has been so diverse. You will not find on this colourful “meadow” two absolutely identical flowers as I've been crocheting pattern free. What this means is that this project took me a long while to finish because not all the ideas my brain concocted turned out to be feasible. But...I can't deny, it has been quite exciting to see what came out of the hook. Smile.
