Anelma Kervinen Socks

My very first Anelma Kervinen styled socks.

This year's winter is not really hard but...better to be prepared for any eventuality! A new pair of warm socks can never be too much. Smile. A while ago one of my Scandinavian pals mentioned the Anelma Kervinen socks to me. A quick visit to Google/YouTube confirmed that her enthusiasm is absolutely justified. What an “explosion of colors”! I fell immediately in love with this style. The following week I bought some wool and as I never work with a pattern (I watch the sampler for “orientation” but then I continue my own ideas) I could start knitting immediately. And here you can see the end result. I can be content with myself, can't I?

PS. Hummm...I love the socks, I find them beautiful but....they will not warm my own legs, unfortunately. They are already in my home country Poland with my nieces (Polish Winters are much harder then these here). Beside this, as my English pal Tessa wisely remarked : for any age there is the right dressing style. I prefer to avoid the look: “mutton dressed as lamb”.
