Hello there on this cold, wet and windy December Saturday. At the moment the whole world, with exception of me, seems to be in the Christmas fever. Blink, blink at each corner, busy folk chasing for Christmas gifts, cinnamon scent in the air... Me, I have my own universe: a cozy crafty corner, my old sewing machine and a huge box filled with diverse buttons, ribbons, fabric pieces, rivets, lace borders... Upcycling is the newest hot topic in the fashion industry. There, I am absolutely up to date. Since my childhood I've been upcycling whatever’s has been lying around the house. It has been the only way for me to create something beautiful on a budget. Nowadays I do not need to upcycle old clothing but...I do it anyway and I do it with a passion. It's fun, it's a challenge for creativity, it's a good way to limit consumption a little... and on top of it, you will be rewarded by possessing something unique. Enough reasons to spare your used clothing the sad destiny of the waste bin. Today I am going to share with you a few photos of my newest projects of the series: Second life for old togs.
